This panel discussion features esteemed representatives from the International Labour Organization (ILO), the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA), the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound), the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI), the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) and the EAWOP Impact Incubator.
We propose a two-part session. In the first session (1 hour), we will focus on having each policy body introduce their institute/organisation, outlining their key missions and objectives, as well as the specific advice these bodies provide to policymakers. They will be asked to reflect on the new challenges at work that require policy intervention, and how these challenges impact workers and organizations.
In the second session (1.5 hours), we will explore with the representatives from the policy bodies the emerging challenges in the workplace and delve into the kind of research and expertise they could use from EAWOP members. This could be achieved by discussing examples of recent policy recommendations and their outcomes. Additionally, we will address how EAWOP members’ work can be better integrated into policy development. By fostering a closer relationship between EAWOP and these policy bodies, we aim to amplify the impact of our members’ work and contribute to the development of effective workplace policies by supporting these policy bodies.
Join us for an engaging discussion that will pave the way for increased cooperation and shared success. This panel discussion promises to be a cornerstone event at the EAWOP conference, setting the stage for future collaborations and impactful contributions to workplace policies.
