Title:
Bar Camp: Science and Practice Work Together on Transforming Working Environments
Brief content:
We use a Bar Camp highly interactive workshop approach to discuss the challenges and opportunities of transforming working environments. We will explore key topics with practitioners and academics and participants can also propose their own topics.
General statement:
A contemporary and innovative process known as a “Bar Camp” will be used to encourage co-creation, interaction, and discussion between researchers and practitioners. The Bar Camp session begins with experts presenting topics that will inspire and stimulate discussion among the audience based on the theme of the congress – Transforming Working Environments: Challenges and Opportunities. This will be followed by a few workshops to be run in parallel where attendees work in small groups to explore, discuss and consider future co-creation on the chosen topics.
In addition, the basic idea of a Bar Camp is that each participant can contribute to the session by adding a workshop topic that has some connection to the overall topic. We will collectively decide (by voting) which workshops (up to 6 per session) will be run. Each workshop will last 45 minutes and be followed by a summary plenary session sharing outcomes from each workshop with participants.
